The small boat racing events are a very popular event at the Regatta.  There are dinghy sailing races, dinghy rowing races and kayak races.  During several of the regattas in the past, a number of Sunfish sailboats were loaned to the Regatta and the event included Sunfish races as well.  Each of the various races is usually broken down into youth races and adult races.  The kayak races have become very popular and a number of kayaks are loaned to the Regatta by a local rental business.
