There's almost always a large group of children among the cruisers, from toddlers to teenagers. One whole day is devoted just to childrens day; there are fun and games all morning and afternoon with lots of prizes, snacks, and drinks inbetween.

The games are often different each year depending on the creativity of the event chairman and his/her committee. Hunts for buried pirate treasure, egg tosses, pin the tail on the 'whatever', paper boat racing are just a few of the many games enjoyed by the kids.
